What is the best airport to use?
1) Washington National Airport (DCA)
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, commonly known as National Airport, is located in Arlington County, Virginia, about four miles from downtown Washington, and is the closest airport to all locations for the SUMMIT. National Airport is the most convenient of the area airports for visitors staying in the heart of the city or the inner suburbs.
2) Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Dulles International Airport is located 26 miles from Washington in Chantilly, Virginia. The airport is about a 40-minute drive from downtown Washington in non-rush hour traffic. The Dulles Airport Access Road makes the airport easy to get to once you get off of Interstate 495.
3) Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI)
Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, commonly known as BWI, is south of Baltimore and is convenient to the Maryland suburbs via I-95 and I-295. It's about 45 miles from downtown Washington. Southwest Airlines has its own terminal at BWI, and it offers lots of flights, sometimes at lower prices than some of its competitors, from BWI.
What meals are included?
Power Lunch Thursday and breakfast and luncheon at the Library of Congress on Friday during sessions, along with the Leadership Breakfast on Saturday morning are included in the event registration.
what should I wear for the summit?
Each component of our Summit will be held in historically & spiritually significant places. We’ll be in some of the most powerful atmospheres in our nation. The dress for most of our official Summit gatherings will be business professional. For men, this means suit and tie (optional). Ladies, this means slacks, skirt, dress, or business suit. Jeans are not appropriate for any of the main sessions; however, feel free to bring them for the evenings and off times! The private US Capitol tour is 90 minutes so we recommend comfortable dress shoes.
Average temperatures for October in Washington, D.C. range from 50º - 70º Fahrenheit.
