USCIRF Needs You

The United States Commission for International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) is a bi-partisan and interfaith organization that works closely with the State Department, the White House, and members of Congress to protect religious freedoms across the globe. USCIRF has coordinated notable efforts to change the world climate on religious freedoms and has helped many escape from religious persecution, such as Pastor Andrew Brunson, Abdul Shakoor, and Bagir Kazikhanov. USCIRF also releases an annual report summarizing the countries that promote hostility towards religious groups and works with the State Department to address these nations and let them know that America is watching.

USCIRF has one major challenge:

It does not have permanent status and their authorization expires at the end of this year, 2019.

We are strong supporters of USCIRF and want to help its mission continue; advancing the kingdom of God and defending renewal in our nation! The last time it was reauthorized was 4 years ago. Our prayer is for Congress to consider a longer reauthorization period.

what can you do?

  1. Contact your representative here and asking them to push forward legislation that would allow for the reauthorization of USCIRF!

  2. Pray for a shift in the hearts of legislators to extend the authorization period longer than 4 years.
