Reconciliation at The Border

Today, I’ll be traveling with a special delegation of Faith Leaders to visit the US/Mexican border. During this visit, the US Government will provide a tour of detention facilities and a Border Patrol ride-along. I believe this will be a significant opportunity to see how WE – the Church – can bring help and healing to this national crisis.

The International Christian Concern (ICC) hosted their annual “Policy Day” event Tuesday, June 5, in the United States Capitol Building. The focus of this year’s event was on human rights and religious liberty in the country of Nigeria, a nation where Christians face some of the most violent persecution in the world.

As Americans, we celebrate the independence of our great nation this week.  Picnics, BBQ, and plenty of red, white and blue help us remember July 4, 1776 – and especially fireworks!  There is nothing more moving and exciting than a gigantic fiery display with explosions of color and sonic booms high overhead in the warm night sky.
